General introduction to the exciting field of Dentistry, including your orientation to our clinic and dental terminology.
• WEEK 02 •
Four-handed dentistry, instrumental transfer, isolation techniques, suctioning (HVE), local anesthesia, patient positioning, handpiece maintenance, sealants and hygiene assisting.
• WEEK 03 •
Radiology theory and practice of intraoral and extraoral X-ray techniques, X-ray safety, darkroom procedures.
• WEEK 04 •
Amalgam and composite materials, instruments, mixing, curing, tubs, trays.
• WEEK 05 •
Cements and liners, alginate impressions (upper arch), model pouring and trimming, X-ray quiz. CPR Training.
• WEEK 06 •
Midterm exam. Oral surgery, periodontal instruments and materials, sterilization procedures, alginate impressions (lower arch).
• WEEK 07 •
Crown and bridge instruments and materials, making temporary restorations, bite registration.
• WEEK 08 •
Endodontic materials and instruments, orthodontics, job interview skills.
• WEEK 09 •
Office management, front desk operation, appointments, billing dental insurance, office management software, OSHA regulations. Review and practice for final exam.
• WEEK 10 •
Final exam and practical exam. Pediatric dentistry, final written exam, X- ray practical clinical exam. Graduation!
Meet The Team
Suresh Vegesana, DDS, CEO
Suresh Vegesana provides high quality personalized dental solutions to each person. Dr Vegesana developed passion for health and human services. Dentistry seemed a natural fit for his interests. He pursued Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University and successful CEO for dental practice since 2018.
Dr Vegesana settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana since 2014. Outside the office he is most often found with family, Teja and son Arjun. In spare time, he enjoys travelling, sports and reading.
Dr Vegesana is also active in community outreach and volunteering, believing that giving back is vital to maintain strength and support. He regularly participates in Feed My Staring Children, Mission of Mercy and local fund-raising events.
Suvarna Dantuluri MBA, Director
Suvarna has been part of a dental practice for a decade. She holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy from Andhra University, India. She feels honored to be able to help people start their careers as dental assistants and enjoys building relationships with students and patients. At home, Survarna spends plenty of time with her husband Suresh and son Arjun. Some of her favorite hobbies include gardening, reading, and cooking.
Rebbeca Sellers EFDA, Instructor
Rebecca has been working in oral healthcare for more than a decade. She truly enjoys every relationship we build with patients. Family consists of her husband John, two sons and two dogs. In spare time away from dental office, she enjoys all outdoor activities like swimming, fishing, hiking and kayaking.
Kierra Ously, EFDA, Instructor
Kierra enjoys helping patients feel at ease when they come into our office. Her extensive knowledge and calming personality help to comfort patients before, during and after their procedure. Kierra and her husband Brandon lives with their precious kids Emelia and Aden . They enjoy family time, riding bikes and walking.
Morgan Gose, EFDA, Instructor
Morgan has been dental assistant for several years. She enjoys the level of patient care provided to each patient at office. Her ability to keep everyone laughing and smiling transforms routine appointments into enjoyable experiences. Along with professional life, she enjoys quality time with her husband Preston and kids Addison and Avery. Most enjoyable vacation always be at Disney world.
